How to prepare
- Rinse leaves before use. Optional: pour boiling water over them for 15–20 minutes to remove dust and help them sink faster. Start with around 1 leaf per 20–50L and top up gradually.
- Preparation method: Rinse Then Hot Steep Or Boil And Cool.
- Add gradually and let the aquarium settle before adding more.
How to start
- Nano: Start with a small leaf or part leaf, then observe.
- Small: Start with one leaf or a small amount of leaf litter.
- Medium: Start with a few leaves and add more slowly if the tank remains stable.
- Large: Add in stages rather than placing a full batch in at once.
What to expect in 24-72 hours
- Expect possible amber tint, softening leaf texture and early biofilm. Watch livestock behaviour, smell, clarity and oxygen signs.
- Observe livestock, water clarity and smell for 24-72 hours after adding new botanicals.
Safety / do not use if
- Natural leaves vary in size, colour and speed of breakdown.
- Use less in nano and shrimp tanks at first.
- Do not use in unstable tanks or when livestock are already stressed.
- No instant water-parameter claim. Tint and pH response vary by water, buffering and tank biology.
- Not sold as livestock treatment.
- Do not use if: Tank Is Unstable, Livestock Are Already Stressed, You Need A Fast Fix.
Product FAQ
Will it sink?
Some botanicals float at first and settle over time. Soak or hot steep if you want a calmer start.
Will it tint the water?
It may add a visible botanical tint depending on dose, water chemistry and preparation.
Is it safe for shrimp?
Use gradually for shrimp tanks and observe livestock carefully for 24-72 hours.
How much should I start with?
Start with less than you think you need, then build up gradually after observing the tank.
Can I use it in a new tank?
Use extra caution in new or unstable tanks. Stable livestock and mature filtration come first.
Is it a medicine or pH product?
No. This is a natural aquarium botanical product, not medication and not an instant pH-control product.
