Build the route
Build a mixed grazing and enrichment route
Use the mixed pack slowly so leaves, cones and foods each have time to settle, soften and be inspected by livestock.
Product story
Botanical Grazing & Enrichment Pack in use
Mixed botanical and grazing enrichment pack with Catappa leaves, plant-heavy grazing pellets, bee pollen, moringa seeds and alder cones.
Why aquarists use it
Neocaridina shrimp tanks, Suitable Caridina shrimp setups

What it does not do
It does not replace stable husbandry, diagnose livestock problems, cure disease or promise instant water-parameter changes.

Essential details and safety
Use slowly, observe livestock and avoid chasing instant changes. BBA product pages are guidance for careful aquarium use, not veterinary or medical advice.
Preparation notes
- Rinse botanicals such as leaves, seeds and cones in fresh water before use.
- Optional: pre-soak botanicals in hot water for 20–30 minutes to help them sink and soften.
- Do not rinse bee pollen or grazing pellets before feeding.
- Add Catappa leaves gradually and allow livestock to graze naturally as the leaf softens.
- Use a few alder cones at a time depending on tank size and desired tannin effect.
- Add moringa seeds gradually as part of a varied botanical layout.
- Use bee pollen sparingly in very small amounts.
Safety notes
- Natural products vary in size, shape, colour and tannin intensity.
- Introduce botanicals gradually, especially in smaller aquariums or very soft-water systems.
- Bee pollen should be used sparingly because overfeeding can affect water quality.
- Remove excess uneaten food if necessary.
- Catappa leaves, moringa seeds and alder cones may float at first; pre-soaking can help.
- Carbon, Purigen and some filtration media may reduce visible tannins and tint.
- Contains a small amount of shrimp meal for smell and attraction.
- No instant pH promise and no livestock-care shortcut claim.
- Remove if livestock show stress.
Habitat visual story
A botanical aquarium should feel lived-in, not empty
These visual cards explain the habitat world around this product. They are separated from the product gallery above, so customers can distinguish the item from its ecological role.
Leaf litter becomes part of the tank floor.
Broken shade helps cautious livestock feel secure.
Natural tones make the floor feel settled.
Surfaces invite slow grazing and inspection.
Method reminders
Prepare, add gradually, observe
How should this be introduced?
Prepare as appropriate, add a small amount first and watch livestock and water clarity for 24-72 hours before adding more.
Is natural variation normal?
Yes. Botanical and prepared aquarium products can vary in size, colour, shape, texture, tint and breakdown speed.
Does this guarantee water parameter changes?
No. The BBA method is deliberately careful: products can support a route, but they do not promise instant pH, GH or KH results.
