What you receive

  • Choose from 1 current option.
  • 1 Nano Blackwater Botanical Box – up to 30L - 5 Catappa leaves, 5 mini Alder cones, 10g Alder cones, 5 Bakuli pods, 3 Eucalyptus fruit buttons, 1 Banana leaf piece and 3g Mulberry leaves
  • You receive the option selected. Natural product size, shape, colour and texture can vary.

How to prepare

  • Rinse each item under running water before use. Optional: pour hot water over leaves and pods and soak for 15–20 minutes to help them sink faster and remove natural surface dust. Start with a small amount in nano tanks and build up gradually. For a 20–30 L tank, begin with around 1 Catappa leaf, 3–5 Alder cones, 1–2 Bakuli pods and a pinch of Mulberry leaves, then observe livestock and water colour before adding more. Replace or top up every 3–4 weeks as botanicals soften and break down.
  • Preparation method: Prepare Each Item Safely Then Add In Small Stages.
  • The box is a route, not a one-day dump-in kit. Add pieces slowly.

How to start

  • Nano: Do not add the whole box at once. Start with one or two small items.
  • Small: Start with a small portion and build gradually.
  • Medium: Use as a gentle starter portion, not a full medium-tank layout.
  • Large: Use only as a small supplement; choose larger starter routes for large tanks.

What to expect in 24-72 hours

  • Expect gradual tint, possible floating and early biofilm. Observe shrimp and nano livestock closely.
  • Observe livestock, water clarity and smell for 24-72 hours after adding new botanicals.

Safety / do not use if

  • Especially important: start small in nano tanks.
  • Keep oxygen and water clarity in mind.
  • Do not use in unstable tanks or when livestock are already stressed.
  • No instant pH or exact tint promise. The aim is a cautious starting route.
  • Not sold as livestock treatment or problem-solving product.
  • Do not use if: Tank Is Unstable, You Plan To Add All Pieces At Once, Livestock Are Already In Distress.

Product FAQ

Will it sink?

Some botanicals float at first and settle over time. Soak or hot steep if you want a calmer start.

Will it tint the water?

It may add a visible botanical tint depending on dose, water chemistry and preparation.

Is it safe for shrimp?

Use gradually for shrimp tanks and observe livestock carefully for 24-72 hours.

How much should I start with?

Start with less than you think you need, then build up gradually after observing the tank.

Can I use it in a new tank?

Use extra caution in new or unstable tanks. Stable livestock and mature filtration come first.

Is it a medicine or pH product?

No. This is a natural aquarium botanical product, not medication and not an instant pH-control product.
